Design Process

The Design process evolves directly from the Site Analysis, Space Programming, and Schematic Site Design Phases into the Building Design Phase (though the process is fluid and often overlaps). To enjoy the mountain environment and four season climate, the architecture constantly refers to the “larger ideas” from context of the site design process. The building, program, interior and exterior spaces and elements are pursued from general to specific, with the larger ideas first; then the underlying order and supporting details are developed, follow naturally, and strengthen the design approach. There are really no solutions in architecture; The Architectural Practice addresses flexible approaches which satisfy the clients needs, visions, lifestyle, comfort and preferences. The goal is a successful project which enhances the quality of life and produces an enjoyable place to live or work.
